Let's get Viking to have a river ship meet Star at Rouen

How about sparking Viking's imagination by supporting a campaign to have them assign a river cruise ship to meet Star in Rouen? The river ship would then take select Viking Oceans' passengers to the heart of Paris and serve as the in-city hotel for the night.

 

Obviously this would be a major upcharge for interested Star passengers. For those who have never been to Paris and want to spend as much of the two day stop in Paris as is practical, what a great opportunity. And who wants to spend time on a bus (ugh) driving to Paris or not everyone wants to or can master independent travel on French trains.

 

I'm amazed Viking has missed this opportunity to cross-sell experiences between Ocean and River cruising. With all the river ships in service, they should be able to juggle schedules to make a river ship available for Rouen stops by Star

Nice idea, and certainly an option that only Viking could offer. (In our case, it would serve as a sampling of river cruising, something we've been reluctant to do.) It would be especially nice if the option were available for every Viking Star cruise which included Rouen on the itinerary.
