SDcruiser66 Posted November 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2014 Has anyone done the ship sponsored excursion for the beach resort day? We have a group of 10 adults with varied interests and are trying to do what might please most of the group. Some are first time cruisers and first time to Mexico also. I know it is at the El Cid in the marina. I have read that there is not a beach at the hotel but that it is just a short water taxi ride away. Any reviews would be helpful. Thank you. bobnsofi Posted November 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2014 (edited) They may take you to the Marina El Cid resort, where you will take a short water taxi ride over to the beach (upper left), a peaceful oceanfront spot with very few vendors. More than likely your tour buses will drive directly around the marina and over to the beach (more likely, almost no walking). If it were our group, we would charter and van an go to El Cid Morro (lots more to see and do at the beach), but if you want peace and quiet, the below picture is better Edited November 29, 2014 by bobnsofi
SDcruiser66 Posted December 2, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted December 2, 2014 Thank you. Great picture. Does the El Cid El Morro sell day passes?
bobnsofi Posted December 4, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) Thank you. Great picture.Does the El Cid El Morro sell day passes? Guess they call the main El Cid, Castilla Beach They welcome Cruisers with open arms With a large group, we would charter a van in the cruise terminal (easy). (or outside the cruise terminal much cheaper). Have the best negotiator in your group Walk out the "In Gate" and make it happen (the "Out Gate" is mobbed). Show up at El Cid asap. Pay as you go Edited December 4, 2014 by bobnsofi
