What to do on Dawn for Teens

I took my 15 year old on the STAR in April, and it is the sister ship to the DAWN so I'll tell you some of the things she did. They played basketball, volleyball, and ping pong. There are hot tubs outside by the main pool for the teens to use, the ones in the spa area are for adults only. She went for many of the teen activities, including many karoke and teen parties after 11 PM. There was a movie theater, with free popcorn from somewhere. As a teen group they had dinner one night, did one of the shows together, a scavenger hunt among other things that I don't remember.

There will be a meeting the first evening you get on the ship and you can get a listing of all the teen events scheduled during the week. Pick the events you think you will like and attend those. Most of the time the group she met just hung out in the teen room where they had computers, music, and play station.

sui0emo0cide: We're sailing on the Dawn next week too! My son and his friend are 13, and there are many other children of all different ages that are going to be on the ship. The kids have been emailing each other for awhile now, and there is a "meet and greet" meeting for everyone on Monday, 8/29, at 10:30 a.m. in the Star Lounge. Maybe you and Mom or Dad can come...

This is our first cruise - have you cruised before? There is a teen cruise club on the Dawn, which runs a lot of the activities that 'immargaret' mentioned. There is plenty to do on your own, too. I didn't know that there was a meeting for the teens on the first day (thank you, immargaret :) ), so I'm sure you'll meet some people and find out more then.

Also, in the main Message Boards, scroll down to "Roll Calls", click on Norwegian, then go to the "Dawn: 8/28/05 Roll Call" thread. Lots of info there..
