lauren0309 Posted December 3, 2014 #65 Share Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks for the detailed review and pictures. We're thinking of booking the Jewel for next November. Just got off the Allure last week so hope I don't feel the wow factor is missing.

usckatieh Posted December 12, 2014 #67 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks so much for your detailed review! This is just what I needed to help plan for our trip on the Jewel in March!
laseiber Posted December 16, 2014 #68 Share Posted December 16, 2014 Did they have food available in the Solarium Cafe? It was open on the Serenade of the Seas, on the first day. Also they had a drink station with flavored waters and tea open there daily, does the Jewel have that as well? We are cruising on Jewel this January 2015, and if they have the drink station available I won't need to get the beverage package. Thanks for the great review and pics. PompeySailor Posted December 16, 2014 Author #69 Share Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) We managed to use once all cruise for pizza and hot dogs No drink selection other than water. See compasses in thread for hours it is open, as I am sure it is open but just not when we went up there. We only managed to see it open once! The pizza was Ok and DD enjoyed her hot dog. It was closed on embarkation Edited December 16, 2014 by PompeySailor
tanderine Posted February 1, 2015 #70 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Great review! We are sailing on Jewel in March. Does everyone gambling in the casino get comp drinks?
PompeySailor Posted February 1, 2015 Author #71 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Great review! We are sailing on Jewel in March. Does everyone gambling in the casino get comp drinks? Not to my knowledge, being in the VIP program we always have received comps. Have witnessed people using Seapass cards when at tables to purchase beverages. Join the program, then receive the freebies Happy Days!
LoveThoseSeaDays Posted February 1, 2015 #72 Share Posted February 1, 2015 Thank you for all the details. This is so helpful to all of us planning our future cruises on the Jewel. I'm especially grateful for the info on the teen and kids' programs, something that's difficult to find. In truth, I'm not sure our teen will find much in that program that's to her liking. But that's not much of an issue, since we're on such a port-intensive trip. Definitely considering the Tiki beach excursion in Barbados. Cheers! Paulette3028 Posted February 4, 2015 #75 Share Posted February 4, 2015 DH and I did this cruise in July 2013....and it was wonderful. You had the best Activity Manager in Elvis (from Chile) on the cruise. I hope that I come across him on another cruise that we will take.
