Penang day tour

We will be visiting Penang in mid Feb by cruising. We would like to organise a private tour instead of joining the onshore excursion. Any local operators people can recommend? Much appreciated for the help

A lot of the sites of Penang are easily do-able by taxi - which are very cheap.

Some things you might want to consider doing

 

- Kek Lok Si temple - unusual temple and worth a visit

- Penang Hill and Funicular - good but can be busy

- snake temple - quite famous temple - dont go if you have a fear of snakes!

- Rickshaw ride around Georgetown

- Afternoon Tea at the Eastern and Oriental Hotel - wonderful old hotel built by the people who built Raffles. Renovated but not as touristy as Raffles.

- Shopping Gurney Drive

- night market (if applicable) at Batu Ferringhi
