shuttlebuggy Posted December 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Okay fellow cruisers, seriously need your input on this as next week I need to work out the logistics on our plans to drive to the port area of Fort Lauderdale, and park and cruise options. Have any of you found a reasonable option? We would like to leave the car at the hotel lot after staying a night. How does this work?*
Normal 1 Posted December 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 5, 2014 Assuming the cruise for 3/15 in your signature is the one you are asking about.....That is peak spring break season so you may find that many hotels in the area are already sold out if they offer park and cruise deals. Sites like stay123.com are a good resource for checking out hotels that offer free parking. Parking at the Port is safe, secure, convenient and is $15/day. A quick check on stay123 showed some hotels already sold out of park/stay options for 3/14. A quick check on Hotwire for 3/14 in a couple areas near the port showed premium pricing for that night. You may consider staying outside the FLL area and parking at the port. The end result may be about the same as any park/cruise deal you find. Good luck!! JohninDC Posted December 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 5, 2014 http://www.Parksleepfly.com is another source for hotels offering cruise parking deals. In addition to hotel parking deals and parking at the port there are a couple of off port parking places for about $8/day that will shuttle you to the port and back to your car - then you can stay at any hotel you choose. JohninDC Posted December 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2014 The two most popular off port parking options are Park 'n Fly and Park 'n Go http://www.pnf.com http://www.bookparkngo.com There are others - been a while since we drove to the port. Check trip advisor for recent reviews. Good luck! :)
