sportzmom Posted December 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 5, 2014 We are taking a family cruise with our grown children and 2 young grandchildren. The 2 kids will be 3 and almost 2 at the time of the cruise. What do you do about taking taxis with preschoolers? Do they have car seats or do you just hold the kids in your lap (like we used to!)? TheWulf Posted December 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2014 As a general rule we typically took public transportation when available as there are no expectations there, so no problems!
cb at sea Posted December 8, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2014 Take a bus..no seat belts, so no seats required. Heck...we grew up with no "safety" equipment.....they will, too.

Yes - car safety seats were just starting to be required when my youngest son was born (my oldest got the "arm thrown against him" routine), but these are his kids and he and my DIL are very careful (maybe because he is a firefighter/paramedic and has seen too much). But we won't be going far, so maybe they will be ok with just holding them.
