sailingawaysoon Posted December 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Does anyone know how it's determined how much casino cash one receives after a cruise, for the next cruise? Thanks :)
osucruise Posted December 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Not sure you will know unless on a specific promotion (either website or mailer), if you do not use a casino cruise just email them, give them your booking #, and they will let you know. I was on one last week that was not a casino cruise, but emailed anyways (like 3 months earlier) and they replied with dollar amount for wife and I. Also, make sure you bring printed copy of email as for some reason 1st 2 days they said I was not listed to get anything then on 3rd day I brought down the email copy and they made a few calls and got it. The past 3 or 4 cruises before I did not have to show email, so I am assuming this was an honest slip up.
2Mommy Posted December 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Who do you email and what do you say? We enjoy the casino but have never been told about "casino cash"

That's all we usually get. Go Bucks!
osucruise Posted December 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Yes, actually drinks on us, dessert delivered to room one night and $$$. And I am guessing based on time in casino we got a comped Italian restaurant meal on last nite and some fruit platter 2nd to last nite.
rolaur Posted December 11, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2014 I was told for my upcoming cruise that you get 10% of your last cruise loses. Pretty cheap but oh well. Better than nothing.
ccruisequeen Posted December 11, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 11, 2014 I'm waiting to hear back. Didn't get anything on my last two cruises. Hoping to get at least a little this time. I still cruise for Warm Chocolate Melting Cake (with 2 sugar-free vanilla ice-creams)
sailingawaysoon Posted December 11, 2014 Author #9 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Thanks for the feedback. Husband got $175 over the Thanksgiving cruise. Just curious how it's figured.
THL1313 Posted December 11, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Sorry to be so naïve, but what is casino cash? I have only been on 2 cruises but my husband plays alittle slots (200-300) and I play slots and roulette. usually in there at least 1-2 hours per day........... Would I qualify if I sent an email before my next cruise? I doubt it but just curious...
winddawn Posted December 11, 2014 #11 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Yes, be sure to take the email or other documentation you get saying you will have casino cash. I've picked up my casino cash many times without difficulty or paperwork, but on my most recent cruise this month, they did not have the information on their list and it took me 2 days with a lot of discussion before I got it. I didn't take the email this time because I had never had a problem in the past. But in the future, I will always take my documentation with me. Davey Wavey Posted December 11, 2014 #12 Share Posted December 11, 2014 Sorry to be so naïve, but what is casino cash? Casino cash is money to play in the casino. Sometimes it is in the form of "fun chips." Those yellow chips play like regular $5 chips at a table game. Sometimes it is just real cash they give you at the cashier window. Special cruise promotions from the casino sometimes come with cruise cash. If you book under a non-casino promo rate code, you won't know if you are eligible for cruise cash unless you ask. They don't seek you out to tell you. Even if you go to the cashier for some other business and are eligible for cruise cash, they still won't tell you unless you ask. You can email casino@carnival.com to see if you are eligible. Regardless of anything, you should always try to check at the cashier to see if you have any comps available. moxie99 Posted December 12, 2014 #14 Share Posted December 12, 2014 for a premier casino cruise for $120 pp plus $100 on board credit, had several cruises to choose from. Also the flyer they sent me said to bring this flyer and receive $300 cash to use in the casino. Hubby got a little different offer, reduced rate room, no OBC but $400 in casino cash. Consequently, he is booked in his own stateroom for about $800 as he is single. Daughter is booked with me for $120 each and we have the $100 OBC. Had to book 2 rooms (would have any way as daughter gets her own room). This way hubby gets his full credit and I get mine. We will just get extra keys so we can utilize both rooms. I notified the players club and was told we both have drinks cards and that there would be special receptions and cocktail parties and a host of other activities for those who took advantage of the premier casino offer. Sounds like we will have some wonderful fun!

2Mommy Posted December 13, 2014 #16 Share Posted December 13, 2014 We spent quite a bit of time and money in the casino on our last cruise. We saw people all around us getting "Drink on us" and other promos. We never did. When I emailed the casino about our upcoming cruise, I was told we don't qualify for anything but to check in with a casino host when we board. Did I miss a step somewhere on being tracked for our last cruise? When we played, we always gave them our S&S cards. I thought that was all we had to do. Should we have cashed out every time we left the casino and then bought in with cash each time we came back to the tables? Were we supposed to check in some other way to be rated? The almost minimum reward for casino play is the drinks on us card. They do give you $10 free play when you reach 1000 points. Then the DOU card at 1500 points. I have always been approached when I got close to the 1500 points by a casino host. Others have reported they have had to ask. The last few cruises I have had the DOU waiting as one was a premier casino cruise and the one before was right after a heavy gambling cruise. Some one posted earlier that DH plays 200-300 but didn't say if the was per day or for the cruise. 300 for the cruise, unless lots of wins and played back into the machine would not likely qualify for any perks. 300 per day could allow for some perks. 2Mommy Posted December 14, 2014 #18 Share Posted December 14, 2014 We prefer table games but could do slots if that's the way to earn comps faster. So, once you board, what do you do to get the best comps? Check in with the casino? If so, when and with whom? Just sit down and play? Thoughts?
