Hotels in Buenos Aires and Santiago

I was in Buenos Aires for a week late last year, and stayed at the NH Jousten. I would definitely recommend it, espeically if you are looking for something less expensiive that Marriott/Sheraton/Four Season ilk. It is currently $90 per night via Expedia. It's in a good location, close to the Florida Avenue shopping district, the Puerto Madero area, and the Presidential palace (pink hoise).

If you are looking for something quite upscale, check out the Faena Hotel + Universe, and very fashionable "boutique" hotel.

We stayed at the Four Seasons last January and it was beautiful. We also enjoyed the Marriott Plaza, right at the end of Avenida Florida (a pedestrian shopping street) and very close to the beautiful Galerias Pacifica Mall. Both hotels have wonderful outdoor pools. Taxis are very cheap in BA, just remember to take RADIO TAXIS all the time.
