Feet swelling... Something has got to give!

I just returned from my five night Disney cruise and I experienced swelling in my feet. I'm a 24 year old female who is admittedly overweight, but as a teacher I am constantly on my feet at work.and I never experience feet swelling unless I'm cruising. We're about to go on a seven night cruise in February and I am not looking forward to swollen ankles. Any tips or tricks on preventing this?

Combo of more activity than you're used to...much saltier food than you eat at home, and that's guaranteed!....and humidity and heat...
