Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!!

If this is the cruise that works for you two, I would book the balcony.

FTTF additional openings may become avail. before your departure date and can purchase then. If not, you cld take additional wedding day pictures on board along with a couple of visits to the bars. :o

Disney doesn't offer fttf. That is why I said I would already know the answer to my question since they don't offer it lol

Disney DOES offer the cabins available when you board.

So does Princess. (free of course)

I dont know if I could book a cruise based if I could get FTTF or not

I am not booking it on the basis of fttf. I am thinking about disney now just because of Carnivals lack of customer service

The thing is fttf could be available now. Problem is I don't know because apparently this is carnivals special secret. According to them, they have no information on their own cruises

I think I would just plan to board around 1:00 and by the time you get on the ship your room will be available. That way you can avoid all the obvious stress you're going thru and save the extra money you'll pay for Disney. After booking, if you are able to get FTTF then you can board at 10:30 or 11:00 and your room will be available. I know you seem like FTTF is a real serious need but it's actually only a couple of hours earlier than normal boarding.

Having said all that, we always try to get FTTF and even skipped a cruise because it wasn't available. But we're retired and don't really care about the schedule. We can cruise next week or next month. Doesn't matter.

Hopefully someone on the roll call will help you out.

Well, you're not getting on before 10:30 or 11:00 even with FTTF. And you can get on without FTTF at that time and have some lunch and a couple of drinks. Boom, it's 1:00 and your room's ready. That's worst case if FTTF is not available.

FTTF is nice. No doubt about it. But it's not worth busting a blood vessel over it. :)

Not really busting a blood vessel. Its just I have this weird expectation that a company that sells a certain service or product would be able to provide information about the said service or product. Super weird, I know.

Okay. After talking with the 13th carnival rep ( And I literally mean 13th), they have confirmed that FTTF is sold out. Okay cool, all I needed to know. So I started asking about the suites. I wanted to know what the main differences were between the junior, ocean, and grand suites (and if the Liberty even had these). The Carnival rep told me that none of their ships have different classes of suites. She stated that all their suites were the same on all their ships. Said there was no such thing as a grand suite. I thanked her for the information, but now I need more info lol. What is the difference in the suites?

Boy, you're really running into the "A" team of Carnival agents. Sounds like they may need to do a little training.

Remember, after you book, be sure to check the status of FTTF a couple of times per day. They do open up more as departure get closer and someone may decide to cancel their FTTF and that could end up available at any time.

We've always found the Ocean Suites to be acceptable for us. We got a Grand Suite once but don't consider it to be worth the additional cost. We also stayed in a standard balcony once and found it to be a little small and cramped.

I swear, if there is 13 bad apples at Carnival, I have talked to every single one of them lol. I was just going to give up and book the Disney sailing, but they don't have a casino..... lol I just happened to run across that, never would have thought to ask... Anyway I have given up with Carnival for today. I am going to try again tomorrow. I'm starting to think maybe all this is a sign that we shouldn't cruise for our honeymoon lol. I have cruised before, but my fiancé hasn't. He told me to book whatever honeymoon I want, that he didn't care where we went. I think I am just worried that he won't like a cruise, since he works on drill ships all over the world. Come home from working on a ship, to get on a ship lol. But his drillship doesn't have towel animals lol.

there is only 2 junior suits . Both on lido deck all the way forward. Both these cabins have the same size balcony as booking a regular balcony cabin.

on the suites-- the tub is very small. No grand illusion of taking baths together thats for sure

A cruise will be more of a relaxing holiday compared to disney where its hurry hurry, rush rush-- then wait some. He may prefer a relaxing holiday over one like that

Good gracious you're a panicky one.

Just pick a suite and enjoy your cruise. You've only been on 1 cruise and your fiancé none, so what does all this fuss about nothing matter?

Go to their online site. Type in your cruise. Pick a cabin. Pay the money. Ta Da! Done!

Congrats on the marriage.

I find the good thing about a cruise is that you can do a lot or do nothing. Your choice depending on your mood. I gotta' believe it's a lot different from being on a drill rig.

Lol I know that. I was mainly joking, but I do know the idea of sitting on a balcony and looking at the ocean wouldn't be something he is in too, since he stares at water for 28 days straight lol. Last time we had a cruise booked, we ended up skipping it and going to disney instead lol. But if I book it, we are going this time lol.

How am I panicky? Because I want information before I book? Btw I have been on several cruises. And it isn't a fuss. I just wanted to know if fttf was available before I booked a suite. And when I went to book a suite I just wanted to know the difference in them before I booked. A very wonderful poster helped me with that, when carnival told me there was no difference in them at all. Sorry I like to make an informed choice, and even more sorry that you feel the need to be mean. I rarely post on this site because it seems not matter what info you need there are some people out there that use this site to try and start arguments.

In your honest opinion, do you think it is worth the extra money to pay for an ocean suite or is a junior suite just as good?

The difference between the two, seems to be only in the size of the balconies.

To be honest, if you want a big balcony, you might want to check if any of the aft-balcony rooms are available. They have elongated/extended balconies and the wrap-around afts are highly desirable.

not on this ship. I cant see paying that kind of money for the junior suite.

Plus its a long walk to the food/pools since these are in the aft and the jr suites are on the front

Are they available for your sailing?
