Cruising during Mardi Gras

Having never been on board during Mardi Gras. Does Carnival do anything special for Mardi Gras? Will be on Carnival Triumph out of Galveston.

I was on the Breeze this past March for Mardi Gras... they had a party in the Atrium and threw out beads and other trinkets.

We were on the Triumph during Mardi Gras in 2013 :).... We weren't supposed to still be there but we were at the mercy of the poor tugboat that was doing his best! LOL

Anyway, the crew did a parade, threw out beads and bags of candy and a group of young men led the passengers in a very nice round of "Row, row, row your boat" (very fitting and funny at the time).

I'm sure that you will have a much more elaborate Mardi Gras party on your sailing, you'll have power and everything :) enjoy!
