crusinhokie91 Posted January 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Can you feel the gap created by the two twin beds that are pushed together or do they put a mattress pad over the beds? Thanks so much! We are almost single digits now!!!!!! Sent from my iPad using Forums
cruisecraze96 Posted January 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2015 I never noticed, they put a king sheet on over the beds. Last trip my little one slept with me and it never felt like there was a middle area she would fall through. imaboo Posted January 3, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Depending on how old the beds are, you may feel a slight hump. Some cruises I have noticed it, and some I haven't. It hasn't bothered us yet. If it bothers you, ask the steward to put some extra bedding underneath the sheets.
labsnabys Posted January 3, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Yes, you can feel it. Not to the point where there is a gap you can fall into, but you can definitely feel the seam between the twin mattresses if you roll over to your significant other's side of the bed. :o
JillySue Posted January 3, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 3, 2015 We had a little "speed bump" in the middle.
crusinhokie91 Posted January 3, 2015 Author #8 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Well labsnabys that's just the problem lol. When I mentioned my concern he even said "it's going to be a bigger problem for you than for me." Apparently I sleep in the middle of the bed while he fights for space on his side. Rare trippingpara Posted January 3, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Never noticed it before. By the way, our daughter is a proud Hokie and will be graduating this year and will be heading out on her first cruise to celebrate.
osucruise Posted January 4, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 4, 2015 We did not feel it until about our 3rd cruise one time. Now every time we ask room steward for a egg crate on 1st day, which is actually king size, and it is way more comfortable as well. We would not be disappointed if we did not have this, but no big issue or pushback ever. Everyone is different though.
