bestestbuddiesbaby Posted January 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2015 (edited) Hi! Sorry if this was asked before, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer: CAN WE LEAVE OUR TWO YEAR OLD IN THE ROYAL TOTS NURSERY WHILE WE DEBOARD THE SHIP FOR AN EXCURSION? We are looking to book with Freedom of the Seas to the Western Caribbeans. We're not sure if we can bring our toddler to hike the Mayan ruins or snorkel the reefs. It's our understanding that a parent MUST stay with the toddler during the Royal tot PROGRAM. Is that true? Will the nursery even be open during the port-of-calls? katiegw Posted January 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Yes, you can leave your kid in the nursery when you go ashore- the nursery will be open when the ship is in port. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gerif Posted January 3, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2015 Consider the fact that you will be out of reach in a foreign country. I wouldn't be comfortable leaving my toddler on board but that's just me. If you were just going to explore the port area and shop a bit, but I know the ruins are quite a distance. JDaly818 Posted January 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Yes. You can. We just did it in Belize on a Christmas cruise on liberty. They even opened early for us once they saw we had a ship bought excursion. They were absolutely fabulous! Such a great staff!!
drrich2 Posted January 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Wife, pre-fodder daughter (21 months old) & I recently did Oasis of the Seas in December 2014. 1.) Each day we were in port, the nursery opened early enough for us to drop her off at there if so inclined in time to make the meet up for ship excursions. 2.) First day is 'open house' at the nursery, so if you know you'll need to book some time, reserve it then. They get book up & if you wait you might not be able to get space later. 3.) The last evening of the cruise, it's nice to put your youngster at the nursery while you pack. That's some time you might want to reserve an hour or two of. Richard.
