Spanky My Posted January 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 4, 2015 Just curious for those that just got off the Jewel as we are going on the Jewel in less than a month. Thanks to those who respond .
bbjj109 Posted January 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 4, 2015 We just got off yesterday and we went to the shows every night. Other than the last night, the same shows were at 7:15 and 9:15 each night. We saw: Saturday - preview show of the shows coming during the week Sunday - Band on the Run Monday - Comedian David Naster (he was leaving the ship at the end of the cruise, so not sure who would be replacing him) Tuesday - Duo Deja Vu - Russian gymnastics/acrobat husband/wife team. Wednesday - Comedy/magic - Jean Pierre Parent Thursday - Le Cirque Bijou Friday - 7:15 - David Naster and Fountains 9:15 - Jewel Farewell Concert Loved every show and planned our evenings around them. ajsdad Posted January 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 4, 2015 I also wanted to say thankyou. We leave in two weeks, and was trying to arrange dinning plans. How early in advance did you have to be in the room to get a seat? How full were the shows? Do you need any type of advance ticket or is it just first come.... shealea Posted January 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 4, 2015 My favorite performer when we were on the Jewel to Alaska last summer was Jean Pierre. He did the large show in the evening. And also, later in the cruise, he did an afternoon performance where he showed how some of his tricks are done. It was a fun show. He's a crack-up! Jean Pierre was also a part of the staff Q & A session one afternoon sea day on our cruise. The Q & A session was very good and very informative. Definitely worth checking out! bbjj109 Posted January 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2015 No advance tickets, just show up. Most nights you can just show up about 10-15 minutes before showtime to get decent seats. But for the Cirque show, be there about 30 minutes ahead. It was the only one that was completely full.
FF Woman Posted January 7, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 7, 2015 I'm disappointed there is only one night with a musical show. I'm not a fan of comedians or magicians for more than a few minutes. I do like the acrobats though. I'm sure there will be some good music in the piano bar or elsewhere during the evening on the non musical nights.
