PattyW Posted January 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2015 So I thought we were going to do the train in St. Kitts, but long story short, we are now making St. Kitts a beach day. We are a family of 5 with kids age 12, 10 and 5. It's the five year old I'm most worried about. I'm looking for a calm, sandy beach with a shallow entry so he can walk more than 6 inches into the water before being up to his waist :-) We're pretty low maintenance - we generally don't even eat food at the beach and might rent a chair or two, but that's about it. I've read about most of the beaches, but none talk about how deep the water is and I can't get a good handle on which ones are rocky and which ones are sandy. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
sirk25 Posted January 19, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2015 I will be there tomorrow (1/19/15) and looking for the same thing for my 5 year old. If I find anything good I will report back with my findings. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk

sirk25 Posted January 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2015 So. Bad news. I never made it to a beach. We ended up getting talked into going on an open bus island tour instead. Have nothing to report as far a beach or the quality of the beach. I'm sorry. Sent from my Q10 using Tapatalk
SteelerCruiser Posted January 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 25, 2015 I am pretty certain that we went to Carambola Beach Club on South Friars. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Great beach for swimming as well as a small reef just a short swim out off the beach. I will say that we didn't use any of the facilities at the beach club so other than the cab ride it didn't cost us anything. I think we are planning to do the same thing when we go back to St Kitts in May with our 9 year old Son.
