Water Island Golf cart Rentals

Does anyone have info on renting a golf cart for the day on Water Island? I have the ferry schedule. We will be there on Feb. 18th. Just the two of us. Would like to tour the Island and stop a various points. Then do some swimming and snorkeling. Thanks in advance for any info or help.

I was in touch with a very helpful gentleman through Trip Advisor about this same topic. The following is his email from July 2014, so things may have changed since then.

You will have to confirm with Kelly if she has a cart available the day you plan to come over. And, be aware that these are open carts without any kind of safety restraints. While the roads on Water Island are in very good shape there are no street signs and not much in the way of descriptive road maps. So, you should do your research prior to your visit and have a good idea of what you want to see, and know where it is located on island. Sort of the old saying: ‘If you don’t know where you’re going, you won’t know when you get there’. Water Island is only 500 acres, but with quite a few roads so it is easy to become disoriented and end up on a road that dead-ends onto someones private property. Also, be aware that one-third of Water Island, on the east-end, is the private "gated" community of Sprat Bay, so please respect the restricted access which is clearly marked for residents and invited guests only.
