Looking for a shore excursion that my 4 year old and my mom with bad knees will enjoy. We like the beach but would like to do something different. What would you recommend?

You could contact someone like Courtney Taylor Tours and they can customized a private day trip. May cost you a little more than the traditional excursion but you get what you pay for: you'll get private transportation, customized tour etc.

 

Alternatively; have heard tubing down Martha Brae is good for young and old. I'd avoid Dunns River if your parent has bad knees. Even if they don't climb the falls walking beside them will be a challenge.

To get onto the raft at the Martha Brae, you have to walk down several wooden steps, but there were people there to help you. It would be a perfect choice for both!
