jkgourmet Posted January 19, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted January 19, 2015 Thanks for a great review as we do this in reverse later too. Appreciate the port excursion recommendations too. The Culinary tour in Lima sounds fun, who was that with?? Many thanks Wendy and David Sent from my iPhone using Forums As you can see from the reviews, our high opinion of this tour is widely shared! http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g294316-d2358313-Reviews-The_Lima_Gourmet_Company-Lima_Lima_Region.html
polySeraph Posted January 28, 2015 #27 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Highly recommend you look into Emberra Indian Village tour in Colon, Panama. Highlight experience of the trip for several of us. We all lived the culinary tour we got in Lima. Tons of Spectacular, fresh food, great tour, fun. We even had guinea pig (which was very tasty, BTW) Lovely city. We did not do ship excursions. Thanks for the review! I'll be on the Infinity for the Valparaiso-Fort Lauderdale itinerary in March and it's good to have the updated information. I'm organizing a culinary tour for our day in Lima and I have a couple of questions about getting from the ship to the port entrance. We are supposed to meet our guide at 8:30. How much time should I allow for my group to get from the ship to the entrance? How large are the vehicles and how often do they run? Thanks! There were lines and it was disorganized, I'm sorry to say. Small vans for non ship tour passengers, big busses for those on ship excursions. Luckily, the ride was short, and we made that 8:30 am meeting time for easily after getting on line at about 7:50am. YMMV.
