whherron Posted August 27, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2005 From http://www.nyc.com/weather.htm, the average weather for New York City in November is a high of 54F (12C), a low of 41F (5C), a mean of 48F (9C), with an average precipitation of 4 inches (101.6mm). New York City in November is one of my favorite times to visit. Some of the Christmas stuff is already up, it's cold enough in the mornings, and it warms up a little during the day. The air stays fairly clean and clear, and there's always a chance of an early snow. Bill
jbailey Posted August 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2005 It will be cold enough to wear a winter coat on deck if you want to be sure to be comfortable. Alternative would be lighter coat with heavy sweater underneath.

Out2See Posted August 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2005 My partner and I are on the same trip - flying in from L.A. the center of perpetual sun. Did the same trip last year and needed a coat the first day out. Started to warm up the second day at sea. If you;re going to be there a day or two ahead of time be prepared and bring something warm. As a native NYer, I've seen that last week of November be balmy as well as freezing. See you on board.

Rotterdam Posted August 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 29, 2005 Its a wonderful timeof year here - most days are crisp & sunny....but once onboard - as soon as the ship leaves the pier the temp will feel 20 degrees cooler. A leather coat or overcoat is good with a scarf. That way you'll be able to stay out past the Statue of Liberty & Verrazano Bridge. I like to grab a brandy along teh way to keep the bones warm!
