Jewel disembarkation in Boston

We have a late flight out and have transfers already included with the air.I have looked at upgrading the transfer for a tour with drop off at the airport but the RCI website says it only lasts 2 1/2 hours. This would only take us to lunchtime, early afternoon at best. Question:- we are flying American Airlines, if we stick with the transfer, will we be able to check in our luggage as soon as we arrive at the airport or will we have to wait for the usual " 3 hours before departure " guideline.We would like to head back in to the city to see the sights for ourselves.

My experience with the Boston Airport is, that you have to wait until check-in opens, which is about 3 hours before departure. There is no place to leave your luggage at the airport. I think the tour will be your best choice, or you might consider taking a rental car for the day. I know that RCCL works with the Sheraton Boston Hotel which is quite convenient located to many sights. Maybe you could get them to transfer you there and as if the Hotel will hold your luggage for a few hours in the storage, you could then get a taxi to the airport later.

I had already checked out the website for the airport and knew there wasn't a left luggage facility, understandable in this day and age.

Looks like upgrading the transfer to a tour is the best bet.We will just make sure to have a good book to read to pass the remaining hours away !
