any h elp please our third time on dream but this time doing stay and cruise with first week at the sensatori hotel first, can we still go into orion restaurant with out seeing capt torsten on second night at sea with out tux and dicky bow but wearing smart slack,s and shirt or do we have to use buffet instead :confused:

Yes you can go in to the Orion without seeing the Captain or doing the whole photographic bit. We did it last year but made sure we were in the restuarant early. We had some odd looks (even though we were smart, collar and tie) but nothing at all to stop you.

My DW and I went straight to the MDR last summer on the Dream without having the photographs etc.

we were on 2nd sitting and we just made our way to the MDR, we had to wait at the entrance for about 5 mins, we were already seated when the masses came in scrabbling for tables.

I wore suit and tie instead of my DJ on this occasion.

It won't be Captain Torsten - it will be either Captain John W.P. if after mid March 2015 or if before it will be Captain Terje Ulset.

 

As for possibly not wearing a tie - they did say they would be insisting on "formal" - dicky bow or shirt and tie - at the Orion door but whether they actually do is anyone's guess.
