Honolulu Hotels

I posted this on the Hawaii board then found this one - might have more success??

Hi there - first time on these boards. Wondering if anyone has a good tip for day use hotels in Honolulu. We get off the ship at 9:00 a.m. but don't leave until 10:00 p.m. - all of the hotels I've called either don't offer day use rates or will not guarantee early check in etc. etc. Thanks for any info!

I would make a reservation at the hotel of your choice, arrive from the ship, have them hold your luggage for you, bring your bathing suits in a tote, change in the bathroom near the pool, enjoy your morning on the beach and check back after lunch to find out which room they have given you. All you need the room for is to be able to shower and change into fresh clothes, maybe catch a nap. There is always the chance that there will be an empty room available and you may not even have to wait. You may even be able to negotiate a reduced rate since you will be checking out early and the room will be free for any last minute late night guests-they may actually be able to resell the room that way and double dip.

try the bestwestern plaza. I think it is bestwesternhonolulu.com

We got a day room there for $69 goes from 8 am till 6 pm they told me. Ask for the cruise ship special. They have a free shuttle to the airport also and shuttles and buses nearby in case you want to do more than sit by the pool the last day in hawaii. I called them 1800-800-4683 If you go to the website..go under specials and it has the cruise ship special listed there. good luck. We are going in november and got several rooms. They told me up to 5 adults can use the room for the day.
