Late embarkation of 1/25 Freedom sailing?

....Just received an e mail today from Carnival stating that after the debarkation of the Freedom this coming Sunday, they will be performing some tests on board, therefore embarkation will not begin until after 1:30. They said not to arrive at the terminal too much before that, as there is limited seating available. Did anyone else, hear about this? I have FTTF, so how will that be affected?: Thanks

I got it too but I also got a similar email when I cruised on the Pride in September. I think it is just a standard email that is sent so everyone doesn't come early. I still plan to be at Port Everglades by noon.

Just from my experience, we received one of those emails. We had a shuttle booked, they wouldn't take us over until 1pm as stated. They claimed they weren't allowed.

We received the same email and are debating what to do. We have always arrived very early to the port (10:30-11:00) and are one of the first few on the ship. Not sure it is worth it if we will really have to sit around for a few hours...

I received an email for the Splendor cruise last month. We arrived at the port at 12:00 noon checked in and maybe waited for 15 minutes before they started boarding. I was told that this is NOT the regular email about boarding but they are really conducting tests.

We received the same email and also have FTTF. Our flight is scheduled to land at 10am at FLL and we will be going straight to Port Everglades anyway. We received a phone call a few days before boarding the Breeze last January stating there will be a delay in boarding and not to show up until around 2pm. We of course pushed our plans back a little only to find out from friends doing a B2B that there was only about 15 minute delay for new cruisers and we could have been on almost immediately had we stuck to our original plan.

I got the same email on the Magic in October. It was true and boarding didn't start until 12:15.

Decisions, decisions. I am coming in the night before and will have a rental car so maybe I'll just do some sightseeing or something to kill time that morning. Any suggestions?

We have received these emails before all our recent cruises. We ignored them and arrived at the ports at our usual 9:00 AM. Embarkations always began before the time listed on the letters.
