crown princess/ruby princess?

They are sister ships, nearly identical. If you really want to watch MUTS find out (if you can) the condition of the Ruby's MUTS screen. The Crown's MUTS experience is horrible (unless it has been fixed, but I have no way of knowing) For Alaska I would choose an itinerary that includes Glacier Bay. Many people love balconies, but there are plenty of public spaces to see the scenery if money is a factor for you.

If your looking for the Glacier Bay itinerary from Seattle then Crown is your only choice. For Tracy Arm you could go with either depending on the week you want to go.

We booked the Tracy Arm itinerary on the Crown because we liked the port times better than on the Ruby itinerary. Also liked that the Crown does Tracy Arm on its own day vs. the Ruby's itinerary which combines it on the same day with Juneau.

We've been to Glacier Bay a couple times and I would definitely recommend it over Tracy Arm if this is your first Alaska cruise.
