cccer Posted January 24, 2015 #26 Share Posted January 24, 2015 Wow, people make stuff up like crazy. In October when we left San Juan and ended in Miami, we did not need a passport. The person who suggested you'd need a passport to start in California and end in Florida is really confused. There's no such cruise. It's a violation of the Jones Act. Please don't provide people misinformation. Wow!! go on a few cruises and you think you are an expert. Next time please use google before misinforming people so you can find out that there are cruises between CA and FL.
CHOPPERTESTER Posted January 24, 2015 #27 Share Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) No need for a passport on that cruise unless.. 1. You miss the ship departing in San Juan and have to catch up to it en-route at a non-US port. 2. You miss the ship in one of the non-US ports. Ship time/port time, traffic, senor frogs etc.. 3. You have a medical issue and need to leave the cruise in a non-US port. 4. You are a very bad boy and the Captain de-boards you in a non-US port. Vaping on a balcony, darn that Cheers program 5. You are a very bad boy and the local authorities in a non-US port decide to keep you around awhile. 6. You invoke Carnival's vacation guarantee and get off the ship in a non-US port. What no 'scargots I'm outta here. 7. You decide to leave the ship, change careers, and live the Margaritaville life. 99.9% (probably LOL) of the time the above does not happen to cruisers. 3 cruisers on a 3000 pax ship = 0.1% Edited January 24, 2015 by CHOPPERTESTER
