Can you take any cab there? Or do you need to be on a tour?

Do you know if there is a entrance fee of any kind?

My husband and I are making our own tour and know where we want to go.

Yes you can take a cab there. It doesn't take long to visit the Greathouse so you might have the taxi wait for you or arrange a pick up time or call the dispatcher for a pick up.
