Caribbean excursions - rain forest for wimps

My wife and I will be going on our first Caribbean cruise - the 11 day western one.

Problem is she can't swim and we're both afraid of heights.

I would like to visit the rain forest whether in Costa Rica or Panama or?? But we wouldn't be keen on zip lining or hanging bridges.

 

That said, anyone have ideas?

No problem....there are a number of tours that will take you to/thorough rain forests that don't include zip lines and walking swaying bridges. In Costa Rica, take the Tortuguero Canal tour which is by boat (larger boat). In Belize, you can visit a number of ruins, all of which will take you through rain forest. FYI, my wife doesn't swim and I am afraid of heights and we've been on both of these tours. I can't comment on Panama...we've been there, but we chose to just go to the Locks rather than tour....but I"m sure there are rain forest type excursions there as well.

Congratulations on your first cruise to the Caribbean!

 

Each Ship Excursion has a Difficulty Level - if you choose Mild you will probably avoid the Zip Lines and 10 mile uphill hikes.

 

Also - thanks for posting the question about packing - I always over pack, so appreciated the responses.
