Gem Casino

Recently off a nine day cruise on the Gem. The casino and it's staff was wonderful! Chris (casino manager) greeted my DH within seconds of walking into the casino. Alexandra (executive hostess) was so wonderful and professional. DH had purchased a slot tournament for the Gem, but it was applied to our upcoming two night CTN (which doesn't even have a tournament) without us knowing. Alexandra called and worked everything out..although we didn't win the tournament . The casino hostess Pearl was also great with booking our dinner for us.

The casino was not very smokey or busy. We had a great time there playing and talking with the casino and bar staff there.

Hi Tina glad you had fun, we can't wait to see the Casino staff 2/27 on the Gem. I love Pearl and I believe Rowena is still ther right?

Although not the highest of rollers I have booked the last 3 cruises thru CAS. Not once on any of those cruises did anyone from cas come over to me to introduce themselves etc. On this past cruise No one every came around to ask if i needed a drink except for the night they had the white hot party.

I know the attack will begin but CAS employees know who is who by the playing card

Common courtesy would be to say hello to a CAS cruiser and introduce themselves.

Just like the concierge makes it their business to know the guests CAS should do the same.

Don't know her...Alexandra and pearl were hostess. ..but EVERYBODY was great. Missed you this January. Levi is gone from the bar--he moved to the BA.

Can we make a big sign for your July cruise since my daughter is getting married that day and you will be sailing past the venue?? lol We will wave :)

Never got a greeting from anyone in the Casino unless I knew them from a previous cruise. I don't agree with the comparison to the Concierge. A lot of CAS players get free rooms or heavily discounted and they are going to gamble if they get a greeting or not. If you are paying thousands to cruise a Haven Suite the Concierge can be critical to you booking again it is part of the experience you are paying for.

Was this the Chris who used to be a pit boss on the Gem? Tall, bald, I think he was from Serbia?

Nope...full head of dark hair....married to Pearl. If I find a card with his last name I will post it. He has been on the Gem for a while. ..we knew most of the staff from previous cruises. They have a great team there now.
