TravelingAngel Posted February 3, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2015 Hi! We will be taking Oceania's "Southernmost Wonders" cruise this December and I was wondering if anyone has taken the ship's excursion to Laguna San Rafael and if so, how was it? Was it worth the expense, in your opinion? The price for this excursion has not yet been posted, but it will be pricey:eek: and apparently the ship's excursion is the only way to see the glacier. Thanks for any comments!
no fuss travel Posted February 3, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2015 Yes, we did it and book early so you get the better time of day to go on the boat. The glacier was beautiful and we saw quite a few animals. Just for the scenery it is worth it.

It does seem like something we'd like to do but have heard some say it isn't worth it. Of course, everyone has his or her opinion, and there is no way to find out whether or not we think it is worth it until we actually take the excursion! So right now, I'm leaning towards doing it - especially since you say you also saw quite a few animals. Did you enjoy this cruise? What was your favorite port? Any suggestions, recommendations, advice?? Feel free to answer if you feel inclined - I'd love to read a trip report!;)
