Port Canaveral ground transpo questions. Help!

We plan to fly in a day before our cruise departure.

Is there a shuttle service that will take us from the Orlando (MCO) airport, to our hotel, and then the next day from our hotel to Port Canaveral?

Any advice and recommendation would be appreciated! It'll just be 2 adults and a toddler (and we prefer not to hassle with bringing the car seat).

Also, what's the best transportation method for going from port straight to the airport?

Thanks!

The best transportation method is a stretch limo with a stocked bar, but I suspect that is not exactly what you are looking for.

Shared shuttle service is available from Travelynx and Cocoa Beach Shuttle; with your requirements I would also check for private car service from Executive VIP. You could also rent a car one way - most of the major agencies have an office in PC or nearby Cocoa Beach and will offer free shuttles to the port. Depending upon the time of your flight home you may or may not have time to mess with a rental after your cruise - the drive from PC to MCO takes about 50 minutes; with the time required to shuttle to the agency, rent the car, drive, fill-up, check in the car I would not use this unless my flight was at 1:30-2:00 or later.

If the PC/Cocoa Beach hotel you choose does not offer free port shuttles, a taxi will be cheap - I would tip the driver a few extra $$ for the time spent installing and uninstalling the car seat.

Double check on the car seat situation - I would bring my own to ensure that it is properly sized for my child and has been well maintained; you never know about rented car seats. The airline will check your seat for free if you do not want to use it on your flight.

The no brainer but expensive solution is to stay near the MCO airport at a hotel that offers airport shuttles, and then return to MCO to catch the cruise transfer bus. The same bus can get you back to MCO after your cruise - no car seats required on those big busses.
