Where to find Gator in NOLA Convention Center area

I need to clarify, we are looking for a restaurant that serves fried or baked alligator. :cool:

You could find wild gators within about 5 miles of downtown New Orleans, but I guess that's not really what you are looking for.

 

There are a couple of places within easy walking distance that serve this local delicacy.

 

Mulate's, at the corner of Convention Center Blvd. and Julia Street serves an alligator appetizer. Never tried that.

 

Grand Isle, at 575 Convention Center Blvd. serves an alligator suasage poor boy. I have had that one, and it is excellent.
