What to do in SJ on an October Evening

We are cruising and will be in port from 4:00 - 11:00 pm in October. The sun will be setting within an hour or so of our arrival. We would like to do some shopping and get some dinner. What are suggestions that are an easy walk from the port? Are the shops open in the evening?

The shops will still be open. I would recommend going to El Morrow to enjoy the sunset, then wandering around the city shopping and enjoying the city, then stopping at any of the cafes for supper. When you are done, before you get back on the ship walk past the ships (in the direction of San Juan) and stop to listen to the coqui frogs.
