lucy200683 Posted February 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2015 We have a group of 13 family members and friends going on the magic 2/28 on 4 different bookings . 3 out if the 4 bookings are confirmed early dining...the last one to book got wait listed for early.... when we will know for sure they were able to be confirmed into early dining? Any ideas? If they aren't able to get confirmed to early dining before we leave should we go to guest relations onboard and see if they are able to get them in there? It's only a group of 2. Thanks for any imput And advice!

cruise_girl2002 Posted February 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2015 When I sailed the conquest, the woman I talked to didn't find out until a day prior to sailing. I found out about 10 days before for my upcoming cruise.
winddawn Posted February 14, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2015 Yes I did...but it still shows the one as wait listed online. We even emailed the maitre D as well to inform them You can visit the maître de on embarkation day and ask. The maître de is not required to respond to email requests, so you may not hear back from that. What VIFP level are the 2 guests who are waitlisted? Diamond is guaranteed and Platinum has priority. Yes, as soon as you board the ship see the maître de and see what they can do. We have done that in the past.

Thanks for any imput And advice! If your bookings are linked, I wouldn't worry too much. We had the same situation on the Liberty last year. We had two cabins linked and only one had confirmed dining. We didn't find out until we checked in and everything was fine. If by chance not, visit the dining room as soon as it opens. SadieN Posted February 14, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Dining assignments (time and table) are posted on your card. If it matches the others, no need to see the maitre d. Edited February 14, 2015 by SadieN

They are both first timers...finally convinced my parents to give cruising a shot! They do have FTTF... I bought it for them! Lol. But I know that doesn't change their vifp level. Lol I appreciate all the advice...if not confirmed we will check on it as soon as we get on board! Thanks again all!
kelly.campbell Posted February 14, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 14, 2015 Not to be Debbie Downer, but on our 7th cruise we were waitlisted for early and there was nothing they could do. It depends on how full the ship is. Unfortunately, our ship was at capacity so there was no changing. However, our entire group (4 of us) were confirmed to late dining. kteachcruiser52 Posted February 14, 2015 #11 Share Posted February 14, 2015 We were waitlisted in January and it still said waitlisted on the website the day we checked in. We did not get the requested time, but the ship was sailing full. (They had stopped taking bookings 2 weeks before the cruise.). Your best bet might be to go to the DR after you board at the time listed in the Fun Times. Unless the ship is sailing completely full, I imagine they would make the change. ohioblue52 Posted February 14, 2015 #12 Share Posted February 14, 2015 We were waitlisted for early seating on our past Jan cruise, confirmed for late. Did not find out till boarding that we got early. Our family cruise for next Nov. has 18 people already confirmed for early seating.
45014 Posted February 14, 2015 #13 Share Posted February 14, 2015 When we booked, we requested late seating, then changed our minds and wanted anytime dining. We asked that it be changed and were told we were wait listed, about a week later our seating was confirmed for anytime. Maybe we were just lucky! kelkel2 Posted February 15, 2015 #15 Share Posted February 15, 2015 I booked our January 2016 cruise on the Breeze in January 2015 and we had anytime dining confirmed upon booking. But honestly I'm sure it depends on the amount of people in your party.
