Departures from Istanbul

I would appreciate hearing from someone who has flown out of the Istanbul airport using the "free air" supplied by Oceania. What airline and what problems, if any. Where were the connecting flights? Philadelphia will be our Gateway since Pittsburgh has been scratched from Oceania's list of Gateway cities.

We used Oceania's "free air" last July Istanbul to Los Angeles. However, we chose our flights by paying the $50 deviation fee. We selected a Delta flight because it connected in New York (we wanted to avoid London's Heathrow). The only problem was a 4 hour layover in New York created by Delta when it changed its flight schedule. We have felt that it is worth paying the deviation fee because we are able to select our flights and we know flight arrangements months in advance. On all three past cruises with Oceania, our selected flights did not result in any additional costs other than the deviation fee. Evelyn
