Sun out of Houston?

Has anyone gotten any confirmation that the SUN is really going to leave from Houston rather than New Orleans? I know it says that on the website, but when we called, the agent said that the website was wrong.

Do you predict that we will have a chance to cancel our cruise? The extra air and penalties (if we leave from Houston) will be about $1,000 more for my family. I am thinking that it might be better to just book a different cruise, if given the choice. Do you predict that we will get a cruise credit? If so, are they usually per room or per person?

Don't know for sure but I am sure the airlines will waive all penelties. They won't be able to even get you to NOLA.

I know that they (NCL) are not responsible, but I was just wondering so I can make some tentative plans this weekend. I was under the impression that Carnival gave a credit when the switched out of NO and I wondered if NCL would do the same.

To add to my indecision, my flight is through Delta and I just did a websearch. It seems like they are in dire straits. Bummer.

I am hoping that given the state of things in NOLA, my airline will allow me to re-book whatever port the Sun ends up cruising from. If you have already booked airfare - it is worth calling your airline to see what they will do.
