How long does it take to get to international waters from Galveston?

We didn't realize ahead of time before taking a cruise out of NOLA that casino would be closed most of the first night and most of the last night.

Looking at a cruise of out Galveston but if that is the case again we will stick to Florida departures.

The casino will be open within 30 minutes from sail away.

New Orleans doesn't wait till your off the Mississippi anymore to open shops and casino, they open up 30 to 45 min after sailing:)

I don't think it really matters when they hit "international" waters. That would be 12 nautical miles out which would be more like an hour after leaving port. They open based on the ship's schedule and it's timed to where they won't have any problems with local state laws.

 

I don't know how far out the ships are when fog delayed but it's within cell phone range and the casinos and shops are open. Technically they should be able to keep the shops open all the time but they have to be cleaned and restocked.
