dylancole Posted February 27, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Hello All, I have been watching some YouTube videos of the the Haven suite cabins and noticed that in some there are bottles of alcohol (spirits not just sparkling wine) in the rooms. I don't see that it is an option as of now, but was wondering if this was something that we could purchase at some time in the future. We have the UBP already but since we are in one of the aft cabins thought it would be nice not to have to carry drinks all the way back there. This may have been asked/talked about before, but I am not good at navigating this page yet. Thanks!
Leavethekidswithmom Posted February 27, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2015 It's called a bar setup, you can order it from the pre-concierge or the concierge on board. Anyone can order it regardless if they are in the Haven, just through NCL
dylancole Posted February 27, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 27, 2015 Thanks so much for the quick answer. I've been on 6 Norwegian cruises and I never knew this!
don't-use-real-name Posted February 27, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 27, 2015 If you are in an Owners Suite; Haven or Garden you should be getting some of those bottles complimentary. I believe it is 3 bottles for an OS and 6 for the Haven or Garden. For everyone else buying the Bar-Set-Up can get to be terribly costly better to do the UBP if offered available. This post is quite misleading. The correct info is... Garden Villas receive 6 bottles of alcohol plus mixers Owner's Suites and Deluxe Owner's suites each receive 3 bottles plus mixers The term "Haven" refers to the Haven Complex, and to those suites which qualify for access to the Haven Complex - in other words, any accommodation starting with the letter "H." This is important is because although some ships don't have Havens, they still have the accommodations listed above - all of which receive this alcohol perk. There are MANY Haven Suites which receive no alcohol perks at all. Hopefully that helps! :) Edited February 27, 2015 by WaldosPepper
don't-use-real-name Posted February 28, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2015 WaldosPepper: Thanks for the clarification - I knew the expensive high end suites received the alcohol perks and the Garden suites - the Haven is then a mysterious character much on the order of the fabulous "MINI-SUITE" with all its great perks (tongue in cheek)! When is a suite not a suite - well when it is nothing more than a grand deluxe over glorified balcony cabin. Strange some Havens are then therefore in the same category as owners suites and others are like the Mini-Suite - all title and no other perks other than the basic stateroom is that what you mean ? NCL is real great in having a Heinz 57 variety of cabins ah er staterooms. Something for everyone a comedy of sorts ! Cruising Confused and not Cruise Critic. It's not that confusing, really. All full suites come with universal perks, none are just "all title." The highest categories have a few extras thrown in, such as complimentary alcohol. If you're in a Haven suite, you have access to the courtyard. Some ships are all Haven suites, some ships have no Haven. It doesn't change the universal perks. FireEater Posted February 28, 2015 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2015 With my $300 suite OBC, I plan on waiting until getting on the ship to order any bottles for my suite. I am thinking this way I can use the OBC. I do not know, but am thinking if I pre order it, It will be charged to my credit card and would not be able to be taken off the OBC account... Am I thinking right?

Am I thinking right? Yes you are. Order now, pay now. Order on board and it's charged to your room. The bar setup comes with three mixers and three garnishes included. The GV, DOS and OS not only get the alcohol, but unlimited mixers and garnishes.
