jandj1224 Posted March 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2015 My girls are 4 and 6. Can anyone tell me about the camp? Will the girls be able to be together at all?
oldsouthcruisingfamily Posted March 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2015 We were on the Getaway with our daughter in January, and while she's older than your girls (she's 9), she attended events @ the Splash Academy so we got a bit of a feel for it... They break children down into age groups (3-5, 6-9, and 10-12). They had a few scheduled events & activities where children from all age groups were together (the Circus Show the kids performed for their families on the last at-sea day is the example that comes to mind). There's a handy week-at-a-glance guide that you can pick up when you register at Splash Academy, and it will outline the themes and activities for each day, and show the times when age groups are mixed as well. Hope that helps - have fun! ~ Summer
Kfamilycruise Posted March 8, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2015 Did they give your daughter a lanyard when you went to sign her up? We got one on the Oasis of the Seas, but was trying to figure out if they do so on NCL. Thanks!

They can make it loose enough to take on and off, but if the kid loses it, you have to pay $5 to replace it because they are not allowed in Splash Academy without it. asdjl Posted March 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2015 In our experience on the Getaway last year, they were very strict on the age breakdown, no moving up, even with a sibling. None of my kids (13, 10, 8) loved it or went after the first night, which was fine with me. However, this year we are trying CCL, primarily because their age breakdown is different and my now 9 year old will be in a 9-11 group and not 6-9, so she will not be in the "baby" group, lol
Goodteam Posted March 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2015 They have freestyle play and can be together during that. Otherwise they will not be together. My 4 year old did not like the club bc of this.
