We have 2 tours booked with Ellis next week while in SJ. He indicates that he only takes cash...no credit cards. One of our tours is $150, the other $125. If he is self employed and takes only cash....do I also tip him? What have the rest of you folks done? Thanks..

Ellis picked us up on Saturday as we got off the Summit. We booked him for a day tour before flying home. When Ellis found out that our flight home had been cancelled he took us to hotels to find a room. Then he took us on a wonderful tour into the mountains to Guavate. He changed his personal plans to accommodate our tour. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. Definitely tip him.
