ShannLC16 Posted March 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Hello all, I am a long-time Carnival cruiser and have only sailed one other line (RCCL) back in 2004. We had friends over the other night who are booked on the Getaway in Feb. 2015. We ended up having a few drinks :D and then booked as well. Normally, before booking a cruise, I do loads of research on the ship, the itinerary, the time of year...this time there was none of that! I am excited to be trying something new, but am WAY out of my comfort zone. Anyone have any quick tips, advice, or information that will help in my planning? Pretty please?!:p Thanks! Solararc Posted March 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2015 I hope the OP meant 2016, if so lots of time for research, any specific questions? Never sailed the Getaway but I have only cruised NCL and took their TA "university" program

Thecat3902 Posted March 4, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 4, 2015 Just have fun. I too love carnival and have sailed several other lines and so far I always felt that they are the fun ship. I am booked on the escape in 2016 and looking forward to the amenities. As much as I love carnival I can still enjoy the amenities found in other lines. So just have fun enjoy the unlimited drinks if you choose that option, and fun will be there even for us carnival fans.
