IMO, and just IMO as others may love this stuff...jewelry shopping in Coz is dominated by the huskers you see in every port, Diamonds International and Tanzanite. While there are upper class jewelry stores downtown, their prices aren't anything to brag about. Los Cincos Soles, downtown and to some extent in Puerta Maya, has some nice jade pieces and other crafted items. There are some interesting artist crafting small jewelry or similar art objects. Migelon y Hijos is one. It's about 3-4 blocks off the waterfront down Calle 5 Sur on your left before Avenida 15. They're know for cameo like shell items. But don't expect a cheap deal.
