Hi there!

We are booked on the Fantasy in November (Booked while onboard last Nov)

We recently became DVC members and wanted to know if there were any perks or benefits offered to DVC members while on the cruise?

If so, how do you let them know you are a member?

Thanks in advance!!

Amy

I recall there was a DVC member get togther (free drinks). It was a big commercial with a sales rep showing you all the great things you can do with DVC and suggesting you buy more points. There was a raffle included and DH was $100 in OBC.

Member celebration you will get hats, drinks, various DVC merchandise (free). At the DVC rep desk, you typically get a pin and some other small junk items.

The exact merchandise on each cruise varies, but the hats are fairly consistent. And the reps often claim to do "pin patrol"--if they see you wearing your hat on board, they might give you something. Also, in your cabin you should get DVC lanyards and a magnet on your door.

Members are invited to the info sessions (read that sales pitch)--as above, there is a drawing for an onboard credit at each session.

They somehow figure out you are members! But if concerned just call them and let them know.

They cross reference DVC members and cruise passenger lists on their computer. But if you don't have a magnet on your door, just stop by the DVC desk and you'll be added to the list.

There used to be a gift for DVC members separate from the Castaway Club gift that was left in your room. I'm not sure we got one on our last cruise in Sept 2013.

This is typically the box with lanyards and a certificate for a pin which you redeem at the DVC desk. We did get in on the Magic Sept 2013. The nicer gifts were phased out a while ago.
