derumedice Posted March 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2015 Hi, I will be about 10 weeks pregnant while visiting Ocho Rios. This is our first time here and I really want to see the Blue Hole. Let me know your thoughts. Thanksss
elaine5 Posted March 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 10, 2015 Climbing Dunn, I would say no. Chance are nothing would happen, but plenty of people slip. You typically do not want to engage in activities that have a higher chance of broken bones--such as skiing, etc. I would say no to climbing Dunn, but you could just stay on the stairs up and down-that would be fine, IMHO. derumedice Posted March 12, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Thanks for your reply! I wouldn't do anything risky! I was hoping if someone pregnant who has been to Blue Hole could answer how their experience was! It looks like I will be on the observation deck while the rest of my family enjoys the attractions! :o

We did the Dreamer Catamaran Sail & Snorkel and I contacted them ahead of time because I saw posts about having to wade through the water to get on the boat. They explained the process (water was only a foot deep) and said there would be crew members to assist. They also told me that you have to sign a waiver when you board the bus and one of the things is confirming that you're not pregnant. I was told since I wasn't planning on snorkeling though, it was fine. I would find out as much info from the company as possible and then chat with your doctor if you have concerns.
