lockone Posted March 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2015 I sent ncl a note that I will be traveling with a wheelchair and a cane. In NYC is there a special place to embark? Do we get priority boarding? Thanks!

Do we get priority boarding? Thanks! Generally speaking using a wheelchair or any other mobility equipment does not give you priority Boarding. Your status in NCL's Latitudes Program will determine if you get priority boarding not the wheelchair. If you do not require someone from NCL staff to push your wheelchair than you just proceed to the check in area. If you require someone other than those traveling with you to push the wheelchair than the NCL Port representative will direct you to a waiting area. Wheelchair assistance is provided solely on a first come first serve basis . It's actually faster if you don't require assistance.
QuickieGlenn Posted March 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2015 Yes if you use a wheelchair or walker they will spot you when you enter and direct you to a special line that bypasses the normal line. Then once you get your account set up you will be directed to an area then you will board ahead of the rest of the people. I have board in NYC 4 times and it has always been this way.
