Shade?

gbc

Recommended Posts

On a good day, my skin looks like a plucked chicken. I wear 60 SPF sunscreen but I still need shade. Do any of the restaurant/bars have lounge chairs with umbrellas? Any thoughts on finding shade and enjoying the beach? Thanks in advance for your help.

Some places have umbrellas and when we were there we used some palapas that appeared to be part of a bar that was out of business...nice shade and nobody bugging us to buy drinks. In general, however the beach is very tiny. There is only a small strip between the road and the water, so everything is crammed up against the waterline. The swimming area is pretty small, roped off not far from shore to protect you from the boats and jetskis.

There are also palapas along the water in the shopping area at the pier as well as a very nice pool. There isn't a swimmable beach there, but the view is nice and there are better facilities.
