We are thinking of staying in an over the water bungalow at the Sofitel Moorea. Any info would helpful.

Thanks

We stayed there for 3 days prior to our O cruise in an over the water bungalow last year. It was marvelous. I love to snorkel and spent most of the day going down the ladder and enjoying the myriad of fish directly below. The breakfast buffet, which for us was included in the rate, was varied and filling so that we didn't need lunch.

It is not close to many other restaurants, but we enjoyed those on the property. The staff was welcoming and helpful. We found Moorea to be more relaxing and enjoyable than Bora Bora where we had stayed about 10 years ago, post cruise, at the Intercontinental. Getting to the ship was a snap. We took the ferry and it dropped us two piers down from the ship. It is quieter than some of the other hotels but then we like quiet and enjoying the beauty of the island.
