Thought I'd drop in another "favorite" that's been processed (framed, etc.)

Trying a new thing here...click on the picture to see where it was taken!

It will take you to Google Maps where you can zoom in or out for reference.

"Horse Island"

Can you really have a "favorite" cruise picture? Isn't that like having a "favorite" child? :D

OK... I've been lurking and admiring all the wonderful pictures everyone is posting... so here is one of my fave (how do you pick one but...)

It's not on the ship or on the water, but this was taken during one of our ship tour from Civitavecchia. This is actually in Tarquinia where we visited several Etruscan tombs .

It looks like a Monet painting. A wallhanger for sure!

I hope you got that one framed and it is hanging on your wall. It is BEAUTIFUL....Kathy

Great shot and how in the world did you create the link to Google Maps?

Once you find your place on Google Maps, you click on "Link to this page" just above the map on the right. Copy the link and come back to your reply to thread window with the photo in it. Click on the photo and then click on the "Insert Link" button on the reply toolbar (the little blue globe with the chain link under it). Paste the link in there, click "Ok" and post your reply. The photo now has a link to where you took it!

This is fun stuff, isn't it? :D

Well, you've got a problem with this link, 'cause it is linking to the Pacific ocean and I can tell just from looking at the photo take it was taken from the balcony. :)

Ah. so very amusing! ;)

It was taken right where the map was centered...but the ship moved since then! :D

Nope, couldn't do it:(

this is the link to where it is

It looks like you pasted the pic link string instead of the Google Earth link.

Right process, wrong link!

Also, on you GE link, you posted the HTML page string (the second one). Post the E-Mail or IM string (the first one). It should look like this:

http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=&ll=24.641371,-76.169071&spn=0.004408,0.006534&t=k&z=17&om=0&source=embed"%20style="

http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=&ll=24.640776,-76.17067&spn=0.001282,0.005016&t=k&z=18&om=0

If you pan out into the sea, you can see a Princess ship anchored. Can't figure which exactly it is though.

Still can't figure out how to get it with the picture though.

Post your picture in the reply editor the usual way.

Go to Google Maps and copy the string like you did above.

Click on your picture in the reply editor (it will highlight) and click on the "Insert Link" icon. Paste the Google string into the dialog that pops up and click Ok.

If at first you don't succeed.... ;)

Good luck!
