mrsbraxton Posted March 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2015 We will have our then 18 month old with us when we cruise in July. Looking at the excursion programme and wondering does the child price apply to infants or is it just for children over a certain age. Can't seem to see an answer on msc site so hoping someone here will know. Thanks! :)

I've taken my two year old cruising when he was 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 23 months. We've been on many excursions on both MSC and Carnival and have never paid a penny for him. Enjoy! mrsbraxton Posted March 24, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted March 24, 2015 Thanks a million. Great to hear of someone else who has brought a child that age.
GOLDENBONNY Posted March 25, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 25, 2015 Thanks a million. Great to hear of someone else who has brought a child that age. My DD was 15 month for her first cruise. We did not book any excursions . Make sure it's not too long and you can always go back if your baby is too tired. I would book private excursion . What excursion you are planing to book? mrsbraxton Posted March 25, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted March 25, 2015 We were looking at the aquarium in Genoa. Nothing decided yet. Another q if you don't mind. Are there highchairs on board? I was pregnant on last cruise we took so didn't take much notice of likes of highchairs even though I probably should have!

For Aquarium I would just grab a cab probably and go with no excursion .
AmoMondo Posted March 30, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Aquarium in Genoa is walking distance from the port. You won't need n excursion for that and then you can go and leave at the time that suits you and your young child.
Pluto_fan Posted March 30, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 30, 2015 Definitely go to the aquarium on your own! It was a pleasant 10-minute stroll from the port with my 80-year-old mother-in-law. If she can do it, most anyone can. :) Happy cruising!
mrsbraxton Posted March 31, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted March 31, 2015 Brilliant. Tks a million! Think it's €40pp on MSC so assuming it's much cheaper to do it ourselves.
mrsbraxton Posted April 20, 2015 Author #10 Share Posted April 20, 2015 Had a look on aquarium website and its def cheaper to book ourselves. Plus tickets can be booked online in advance so hopefully that'll save queuing. Tickets are free for kids up to
