emirelli Posted September 7, 2005 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Hi! Carnival canceled our 10/23 reservation for the Elation and our TA rescheduled us on to the RCCL Rhapsody but they don't have ground transfers to Houston Hobby airport. Anyone know of a good way to get from the airport to the port? Are we better off just driving in (4-5 hours) and parking at the port?
Texsungirl Posted September 7, 2005 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Hobby is right off I45 which will take you straight to Galveston Island (I think it actually ends on the island). Driving time from Hobby To Galveston is probably a little over an hour or so depending on traffic. Does this help any?
Texsungirl Posted September 7, 2005 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2005 Hi! Anyone know of a good way to get from the airport to the port? Are we better off just driving in (4-5 hours) and parking at the port? If you do drive in, I would book my parking online as it seems to be cheaper. I used EZ Cruise park.
sross6019 Posted September 7, 2005 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2005 You will love the Rhapsody! A wonderful ship. To, hopefully, answer your question-I have read that there is a good shuttle from Hobby to Galveston. Go to http://www.galvestonlimousine.com for info. I think round trip is about $100 or less. I have read good reviews about them. If you drive, go to www. ezcruiseparking.com. Their prices are lower than port parking and again they have good reviews. We are using them in Dec. when we will be on the Rhapsody. To see what the Rhapsody looks like, go to http://www.cruiseclues.com. Click on Rhapsody of the Seas (list of ships on the left). It will take you to numerous sites of pictures and reviews. A good one starts out "homepage", I can't remember the rest. Hope this is helpful. Have fun! springtxbill Posted September 8, 2005 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2005 Just drive down from Marble Falls and park at EZcruiseparking.com. You will get there a lot quicker than the time you will spend in the airport and flying. Ezcruise is a lot cheaper than the "official" port parking and has a discount if you book on line. You will love the Rhapsody.:)
